The engagement
Real home searches are full sentences with several conditions, filter menus are slow on a phone, and many of the client's customers speak Spanish.
We built voice search into the app: speech recognition in the phone's language, translation of Spanish requests into a standard search request, conversion into structured filters, and a deterministic check that every filter matches something the person actually said. If the AI adds a condition nobody asked for, the check removes it.
It runs in production in English and Spanish, including sentences that mix the two, and it is tested against a suite of 1,456 sentences built from real listing fields.
